What are the hours of the seminar?

May I register using a purchase order?
You may register with a purchase order, but full payment is due prior to the seminar.

Is there a registration deadline?
There is no registration deadline. We accept registrations up to the day of the seminar, including walk-in registrations (space permitting). Seminars are closed to registration when they reach the capacity of the seminar site. Register early to be assured a place in the seminar.
May another person substitute for me?
Substitution may be made at any time. If you know prior to the date of the seminar, please call us toll free at 888-937-7355 and we'll note the change in our records. Otherwise, just have your substitute let us know when he or she checks in at the registration table the morning of the seminar.
I am unable to attend the seminar. Can I purchase the seminar handbook without attending the seminar?
What are the benefits of attending?
- Seminar Handbook—You'll receive a handbook specifically designed for this seminar with over 100 pages of resource materials, including essential skills by grade level, spelling rules with merit, 1200 high-use writing words in frequency-of-use order, active word-wall ideas, spelling and word-skill games to reinforce instruction, and ideas for building parent partnerships...and much more!
- Materials on Display—On display will be all of Rebecca Sitton's materials for you to preview, including the Sourcebooks for Teaching Spelling and Word Skills (grades 1-8), the optional student Practice Books (grades 1-6), and the new Some Words Vocabulary Mini-Course Series (grades 4 and above).
- Opportunity to Meet and Share—This conference provides a great opportunity for participants to meet and share ideas with other teachers.
- Catered Luncheon and Refreshment Breaks—Morning and afternoon refreshment breaks are included in your fee as well as a catered luncheon.
- Semester Credit Option—This course is offered for college credit through Chapman University. Chapman University partners with a number of national professional development organizations that offer seminars and workshops nationwide. Participants that attend a workshop may earn credit for a nominal fee by completing a follow-up practicum, based on the content of the workshop. Details for direct enrollment and Registration Forms for Chapman University will be available at the seminar. More details of the requirements can be found at the Chapman University website.
- Certificate of Completion—All seminar attendees are provided with a certificate of completion. For many teachers in the United States, this certificate can be used toward professional development and certification requirements of states and local districts. We encourage everyone to verify the acceptance with your school district before signing up.
