Happy New Year! Best wishes to you for a great 2008. Some exciting changes are here for us at Egger Publishing, Inc.

Over the past several months, we came to realize that Sitton Spelling was reaching a critical point of growth, forcing us to ask, “Can our dedicated staff continue to effectively manage your needs?” Not wanting to risk the high-standards you have rightly come to expect, we made an important decision to pass the baton to a publisher who can bring Sitton Spelling to the next level.

In December we selected EPS (Educators Publishing Service), a wonderful publisher in Cambridge, MA. EPS was chosen based on our shared commitment of working with educators to develop quality materials.

EPS has an excellent reputation in the publishing industry, built over 50 years of developing highly effective materials to help struggling readers. Their exemplary customer service will provide you with the same timely support and information you have come to expect from us at Egger Publishing. We firmly believe EPS is the ideal publisher to continue bringing the advantages of Sitton Spelling to you, our valued educators.

Robert Egger and I will be working with EPS to manage the business transition and complete the kindergarten word-skills program. I will also help support you through EPS, and will continue to be accessible at my home number, 480-473-7277 or at rsitton@sittonspelling.com.

The support we received over the years from every one of you has allowed us to provide an authentic alternative to customary spelling instruction and memorized word lists. EPS is pleased to announce that Sitton Spelling is now part of the EPS family.

Sitton Spelling, based in Phoenix, AZ, has provided breakthrough spelling instruction for grades 1-8 for over 10 years. In that time, the author, Rebecca Sitton, has worked closely with many educators to refine and enhance the spelling program to meet the demanding needs of today’s classrooms.

We strongly believe that Sitton Spelling fits perfectly with our history as well as our current educational materials. It was developed by Rebecca, an educator who recognized the need for a program that improves students’ spelling where it really counts—their writing.
